We had a busy weekend as you can see for yourself. This is my greatest work of 2006.

I was up late on Friday night working on a software project. I'm still working on learning Django so I can get down to the nitty-gritty of building a project for work.

Finally at 1:07 a.m. I was too tired to keep reading docs, watch IRC channel conversations and try things out on the project so I started getting ready for bed.

By 1:30 a.m. I was in bed trying to fall asleep. Around 2:00 a.m. my wife woke me up saying she thought her water broke and that we needed to go to the hospital. I put some clothes on and she walked out of the room. I laid back down in bed and promptly fell back asleep. By 3:00 a.m. we had checked into the hospital.

It was a rough night. At 10:52, baby Ruby was born and I was fighting back tears. I never cried with the births of my other children, but I think the strong belief that this will be my last child gave this birth an extra dose of emotion.
